Design

CONSULTATION & PROPOSAL

Meet at the site and discuss the client’s goals, budget, and the construction process. Draft a design proposal for client review. Note: Additional work for HOA submittals will be billed hourly due to the vastly different requirements each HOA requires.

SITE EVALUATION

Our crew will draw up plans taken from highly detailed measurements and photos of existing site conditions. This is all transferred to a scaled AutoCAD plan, ensuring a highly accurate design.

DESIGN DEVELOPMENT

A complete conceptual design is created. A plant palette and plant images are provided. Additional options include 3D images and a video fly-through of the prospective design. (Note: irrigation and drainage plans are per request and also subject to an additional fee, though this is rarely needed).

CLIENT REVIEW

The conceptual design is reviewed on site with the client. We talk through any changes or new ideas to alter the plan per the client’s request. One major round of design changes is allowed per design fee.

DESIGN REFINEMENT

Conceptual plan is revised per the client’s comments before a second presentation. If there are extensive changes needed after the second presentation, the client will be subject to billing for additional design hours.

DESIGN PACKAGE AND CONSTRUCTION ESTIMATE DELIVERED

A final comprehensive landscape plan is delivered followed by a free construction estimate.

Build

CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT

With an approved design, a line itemed construction contract is prepared and signed.

CONSTRUCTION

We’ll start with a pre-demolition site meeting to ensure the protection of the existing building and site elements will remain intact. The contractor will discuss the design implementation and strategy with the client and construction team. As construction progresses, the project manager will make necessary site visits to ensure the design is properly implemented, provide quality control, and answer all questions. We will also respond to unforeseen variables in the site that affect the design as well as provide clarity on details. Please note any change orders will be emailed and approved along with any changes in deposit capital before modifications are made.

FINAL WALK-THROUGH

KB Fine gardening the contractor, and the client will walk the site to create a punch list of anything damaged, incomplete, or needing replacement, etc. The punch list will be completed and implemented before the project is concluded.
